La Paz, Baja California Sur (BCS). La máxima premiación en el mundo de cine, los Oscar, ya tiene preparada la lista de nominados para la edición 2023, donde 2 de los directores mexicanos más galardonados de los últimos años, Alfonso Cuarón y Guillermo del Toro, se encuentran entre los elegidos para asistir a la ceremonia que se realizará el próximo 12 de marzo.
En cuanto a los nominados para la categoría de mejor película se encuentran: All Quiet on the Western Front, Avatar: El camino del agua, The Banshees of Inisherin, Elvis, Everything Everywhere all at Once, The Fabelmans, Tár, Top Gun: Maverick, Triangle of Sadness y Women Talking.
Para la mejor película animada los elegidos fueron: Pinocho de Guillermo del Toro, Marcel the shell with shoes on, Puss in boots: the last wish, The Sea Beast y Turning Red.
Por su parte, Alfonso Cuarón compite en la categoría de mejor cortometraje con Le Pupille, junto a An Irish Goodbye, Ivalu, Night Ride y The Red Suitcase.
La mejor actriz de reparto será decidida entre: Angela Bassett (Black Panther: Wakanda para siempre), Hong Chau (The Whale), Kerry Condon (The Banshees of Inisherin), Jamie Lee Curtis (Everything Everywhere all at Once) y Stephanie Hsu (Everything Everywhere all at Once).
En contra parte, el mejor actor de reparto se decidirá entre: Brendan Gleeson (The Banshees of Inisherin), Brian Tyrre Henry (Causeway), Judd Hirsch (The Fabelmans), Barry Keoghan (The Banshees of Inisherin) y Ke Huy Quan (Everything Everywhere all at Once).
En la categoría de los mejores actores están: Austin Butler (Elvis), Colin Farrell (The Banshees of Inisherin), Brendan Fraser (The Whale), Paul Mescal (Aftersun) y Bill Nighy (Living) para la categoría masculina, y para la femenina están: Cate Blanchett (Tár), Ana de Armas (Blonde), Andrea Riseborough (To Leslie), Michelle Williams (The Fabelmans) y Michelle Yeoh (Everything Everywhere all at Once).
Para le mejor director, contienden: Martin McDonagh (The Banshees of Inisherin), Daniel Kwan y Daniel Scheinert (Everything Everywhere all at Once), Steven Spielberg (The Fabelmans), Todd Field (Tár) y Ruben Östlund (Triangle of Sadness).
Respecto al mejor vestuario el galardón podrá ser para: Babylon, Black Panther: Wakanda para siempre, Elvis, Everything Everywhere all at Once y Mrs. Harris goes to Paris.
El mejor sonido tendrá a All Quiet on the Western Front, Avatar: El Camino del Agua, The Batman, Elvis y Top Gun: Maverick como sus contendientes. Mientras que la mejor música original podría ir para All Quiet on the Western Front, Babylon, The Banshees of Inisherin, Everything Everywhere all at Once o The Fabelmans.
Los guiones adaptados nominados son: All Quiet on the Western Front, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mistery, Top Gun: Maverick y Women Talking. Mientras que, en la categoría de guion original se encuentran: Everything Everywhere all at Once, The Fabelmans, Tár, Triangle of Sadness y Living.
Para mejor cortometraje animado se consideró a: The boy, the mole, the fox and the horse; The flying sailor, Ice merchants, My year of dicks, An ostrich told me the world is fake and I think I believe it.
